Quality Standards
PIKA Weihenstephan GmbH has established a quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 for all fields of activity – Services, production, development and sales – and is certified from TÜV SÜD.

Collaborative studies
In order to confirm the quality of our products and analytics from a neutral side, we regularly participate in collaborative studies for the detection of bacteria by PCR analysis. Our PCR test for the detection of Legionalla has achieved in April 2010 a certificate from INSTAND e.V. for successful detection of even the lowest amounts of Bacteria (1,000 cfu/ml).

European Brewery Convention
Microbiological analysis methods for breweries are harmonised and actualized within the European Union from the EBC (European Brewery Convention). Our Managing Director, Dr. Gudrun Vogeser, is one of the authors of the internationally acknowledged standard manual for microbiology in breweries, the "Analytica Microbiologica-EBC".

Gudrun Vogeser is founding member of the EBC Committee Microbiology, since 1996, and is now chair since 2009. She is specialist for the application of DNA analysis methods, especially for the fast detection of microorganisms with PCR, and responsible for the actualisation and generation of new analysis methods for the brewery and the malthouse.
