At PIKA Weihenstephan professional microbiologists are working for you together with well-educated technicians – for us quality always ranks first. Our team has developed PCR analytics for breweries and is working with this analysis since 1993.
Dr. Gudrun Vogeser (Ph.D.) is founder and general manager of PIKA Weihenstephan GmbH. Since 1987 she is actively working in brewery microbiology , both with beer spoilers and brewer’s yeast.
As a specialist in brewing microbiology and rapid detection methods for beverage spoilers with PCR (polymerase chain reaction), she advises breweries and soft drinks producers competently in all aspects of microbiology.
Gudrun Vogeser is active in microbiological analysis for breweries since 1993 and founding member and chair of the EBC Committee Microbiology (European Brewery Convention, the European analysis committee for brewery analytics), which constitutes the international standards for microbiological brewery analysis.

Martina Mayer leads our microbiological laboratory and the HefeFarm. Under her care our certified yeasts are cultured. Ms. Mayer is also your contact for all questions concerning microbiological control and PCR analysis for the brewing and beverage industry.

Stefanie Donath, biologist, is responsible for our production and mainly provides our services to you. She is your contact for hygiene investigations in accordance with VDI 6022 and for Legionella testing of water samples.
