PIKA FastOrange enrichment media for the specific detection of beer and wine spoiling bacteria and yeasts are easy to handle and very simple to interpret. Growth of product spoiling microorganisms is shown by a clearly visible yellow coloration.
Both yeast turbid samples as well as clear samples can be enriched with PIKA FastOrange B. The sample is directly mixed with liquid enrichment medium. Anaerobe incubation is not necessary, even when testing for beer spoiling bacteria.
PIKA FastOrange media are optimized for the detection of different microorganisms and sample types:
- Beer spoiling bacteria (PIKA FastOrange B)
- Brettanomyces yeast (PIKA FastOrange BRETT)
- Yeasts (PIKA FastOrange yeast)
